TOSCONOVA

Tosconova was established in 1963 by Giovanni Michelacci as a producer of high quality sofas, armchairs and beds. For over 40 years has developed the company through the national Italian market. In 2008 the passage from one generation to the next, the son Lorenzo and the daughter Valentina. Since the beginning they started to follow the idea and the concept of a unique complete factory of furniture with all working laboratories on-site. To do this they decided to share the management and the art direction of the company between them in a perfect complementary way.

With an ever increasing demand for high-end products, they started creating a separate research and development division dedicated to the study of materials, construction techniques and patents. January 2016 the quality process has been certicated through the certification ISO 9001 for all production laboratories and Tosconova’s asset. Tosconova today is a company ready to accommodate any request for furnishings “tailor made in Italy”.

Bespoke production, hotel mock up rooms and new models are created in a dedicated unit where modelists work to develop and research innovative solution, using haute couture techniques, working like tailors. This department works as support of carpentry, upholstery, TD Lab and designers to create the tridimensional and bidimensional files of structures, padding models, fabric or leather cutting patterns.

In 2012 has been opened the lighting department, hiring expert workers and lighting designers from the sector. For two years they have worked to create the new production unit and The ILLUMINA collection, than showed at ISaloni Milano in 2014. To explain the skills of the team and production capacity of the laboratory, is important to pay attention to the wide range of models available as well as the custom made lights developed for contract projects.

Upholstery is the most antique department of the factory, as Tosconova has been created in 1963 as a small upholstery. Today is a state-of-the-art unit with an incredible capacity to innovate using advanced techniques and where master upholsterers work to create unique pieces with the maximum quality.

A department with the maximum technology with CNC cutting machine and the exclusive support of the R&D upholstery unit. With special attention to environmental and healths concerns, Tosconova uses non-toxic water based glue in manufacturing its products.

The company today claims an important "know-how" which represents the best satisfaction of his customers. Since 2008 Tosconova is an integral part of Unique Trend Classic project, taking care of the production and quality.
